I thought the image on page 194 caught my attention the most. It shows that no matter how hard to you try to escape you are you really can’t. Especially, coming from a place with so much culture such as Iran. The US is completely different. It seems like such a culture shock to her and she feels that in order to fit she must erase who she was and reinvent herself as an American. This image however, reminds her and the reader just who she really is. She cannot escape who she really is and this special upbringing. She has seen way too much to just give up her past. She follows the trends of the culture she does not even feel comfortable in.
